Welcome to Integrative Mindfulness

Serving Southwest Florida, Integrative Mindfulness is a mind-body wellness center founded on the ancient practice of mindfulness.

A growing body of evidence confirms that practices which strengthen mindfulness are associated with improved health, enhanced quality of life, better relationships, increased productivity, and an abiding sense of well-being. Mindfulness is present-moment, non-judgmental awareness - a natural human skill we can strengthen through practices such as meditation and yoga.

The signature offering at Integrative Mindfulness is Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) - an evidence-based educational program in which participants learn a variety of meditation methods, gentle yoga, and the latest scientific understanding of stress physiology. MBSR is proven effective for reducing stress and improving health and quality of life. Designed and implemented by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1979, MBSR is supported by three decades of scientific research confirming its benefits.

Today MBSR continues to grow in popularity and is taught in hundreds of health-care and wellness settings throughout the U.S. and worldwide. MBSR is a complementary resource for promoting the effectiveness of conventional medical therapies. MBSR is also beneficial for people seeking practical tools for living with more ease and calm, for performing at their best, and for responding wisely, rather than reacting automatically, to life’s inevitable stress.
