Welcome to Integrative Mindfulness

Serving Southwest Florida, Integrative Mindfulness emerged from the growing awareness of the many benefits of a mindfulness practice for the health of mind and body. Mindfulness strengthens our natural ability to be present with awareness, in the moment, as life unfolds. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an evidence-based educational program proven effective for reducing stress and improving health, well-being, and quality of life.  Designed and implemented by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1979, MBSR is supported by three decades of scientific research confirming its benefits.

Today MBSR continues to grow in popularity and is taught in hundreds of health-care and wellness settings throughout the U.S. and worldwide. MBSR is a complementary resource for promoting the effectiveness of conventional medical therapies. MBSR is also beneficial for people seeking practical tools for living with more ease and calm, for performing at their best, and for responding wisely, rather than reacting automatically, to life’s inevitable stress.
